Dinner for the Busy BBQ-Loving Couple

Hello everyone,

Don't let the title fool you, this meal can be made for anyone. I chose the title because this is what I make for my boyfriend and myself when we are both planning to get home late.

With that being said, tonight I am going to show you how to make BBQ Pulled Pork sandwiches and Mac & cheese, fast.

I tried a pulled pork recipe in the past, but was left disappointed. The pulled pork took too long to cook, and I did not think the taste was worth it.

Below is a picture of the pulled pork and mac & cheese I used:

Jack Daniel's BBQ Pulled Pork and Bob Evan's Mac & Cheese

This pulled pork can be put in the microwave or the oven. I like to remove it from the packaging and heat it up in the oven. The directions are on the back, but I will tell you that it only takes 12 to 15 minutes in the oven.

The mac & cheese can also be heated up in the microwave or in a skillet, and the container is more than enough for two people. I personally chose to heat this up in the microwave because it only takes about five minutes.

Both of these items can be bought at your local grocery store. I ran to the store at the last minute to get these products, meaning I had to get them from Giant Eagle. I paid $8.99 for the pulled pork and $5.99 for the mac & cheese. You may be able to find these items at a lower price if you shop around first.

The taste is so good. It is nice to know that I don't have to worry about eating something that tastes bad because it takes such little time to throw together.

Below is a picture of the final product:

I like both of these products so much and I hope everyone gets the chance to try them.

If you would rather make your own pulled pork or mac & cheese, check out the following links.

  1. Three Ingredient Pulled Pork
  2. Baked Macaroni and Cheese
I want to try both of these recipes in the future. The baked macaroni and cheese could be a great side dish for your Thanksgiving dinner.

What do you think about this simple meal idea?

Enjoy!
